Suede Shoes and Boots - How to Clean Suede

Suede is so in fashion right now, but suede products always need a refresh every now and than for that brand new, fresh look.
So how do you keep your suede shoes looking as new even after you have been wearing them every day for a few months? It is not as difficult as one may think. Here are a few tips:

1. Before wearing your new suede shoes, we recommend you to spray them with a suede/ nubuc spray that you can usually find in supermarkets or specialized stores. This will keep dust and dirt from penetrating deep into the suede.
2. After wearing them, brush your shoes with a hair brush (natural hair brushes are the best) until you remove the dirt and dust on them. Clean the brush after.
3. If there are any spots, you can clean them with a piece of cloth and some soapy water. Let them dry normally, not near any heating sources.
4. To refresh the colour or eliminate some stubborn spots on the suede, a great idea is using an eucalyptus oil spray! Hold can approximately 15 cm and evenly spray the surface of the shoe. Leave for 1-2 min and then brush the suede again with a clean soft brush. Repeat if necessary.
